MAY at St. Paschal Church
Traditionally, the month of May is one of the busiest months of the year in our parish. Weddings and graduations are just a part of what goes on.
The Sunday before the month of May is a big day for 16 of our young members. They will receive Jesus for the first time at their First Holy Communion. Congratulations!
Then on May 6 (the first Sunday in May), we have our Baccalaureate Mass honoring and praying for our 2018 High School Graduates.
The second Sunday in May (May 13) is not only Mother's Day, it is also the day we crown the Blessed Virgin as Queen of Heaven and Earth after the 9:00 Mass.
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred by Bishop Duca on May 19 at the 5:30 Mass.
Finally, I will be gone to St. Louis the last week of May. The O.F.M. Franciscans of the United States (about 1,000 in number) will vote on whether we want to combine six regional Provinces into one in our country. Please pray that the right decision is made.
So - have a happy month of May!! We have a lot to celebrate.
